90mm Maksutov-Cassegrain Optical Assembly. This telescope has a fantastic folding optical assembly that uses a combination of mirrors and lenses to pack an incredible 1200mm focal length in a compact 12.5 inch optical assembly. As a result, this telescope is ideal for both day and night viewing. Images in this telescope are shown right side up. With a powerful magnification 133x when using the 9mm eyepiece, this telescope is great for bird watching or as a wildlife spotting scope. For backyard astronomy, the big magnification will give you jaw dropping views of the Moon. You'll be able to see planets and their features, like the rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter, and great views of Mars. In dark skies you can see distant nebulae and galaxies as well.
Great Eyepieces. This telescope comes with 1 medium-power 25mm Kellner eyepiece and 1 high-power 9mm Kellner eyepiece, each with its own storage container, so you'll have some options when it comes to selecting the right eyepiece for viewing each deep-space object or planet. Images are seen right-side up in this Cassegrain, so this telescope is ready-to-use for daytime earth-bound observing, as well.

Aluminum Tripod & Altazimuth Mounting The aluminum tripod is fully adjustable and allows even taller people to observe the stars without having to crouch down in an uncomfortable position. A handy accessory tray on the tripod makes it easy to keep track of extra eyepieces. With the altazimuth mounting, the telescope is designed for beginners and children. There is nothing to it. This is a true "point-and-shoot" telescope. The mount makes it simple to aim and move the telescope, you don't need to learn about complex Polar Alignment or stellar coordinates -- just aim the telescope at what you want to see and have a look.

Value I usually order from Amazon, and not from "random" websites. So I was a little skeptical of the claims on this site of same-day shipping. Glad to say I was wrong. Got a tracking number in just a few hours after ordering and my telescope arrived 2 days later. This package is pretty complete. The telescope package is pretty comprehensive. The telescope itself is a little bit small and unimpressive looking. I suppose this is a no-maintenance telescope and is designed this way. And the tripod is really a bit too short for a full-size adult male. But the optics are really nice. I found that during the day, the whole field of view through all 3 eyepieces is crystal clear. Focusing is easy, and the night views are equally impressive. Although somewhat difficult to use on the supplied tripod (just too flimsy and short for me), this scope gave me great views of the rings of Saturn, the moons of Jupiter, galaxies, nebulae and great views of Mars. I have been amazed at the quality of the viewing given how small this scope is. Recommend this telescope, but perhaps prepare yourself to buy a nicer tripod (works with any tripod).
