Returns
We want you to be completely happy with your telescope and accessories. If, within 30 days of receiving your order you are unhappy with your decision to make a purchase, you may return it for a complete refund of your purchase price. If your telescope is unopened, there is no restocking fee. However, we do charge a 20% restocking fee on all telescope orders once the telescope has been opened and removed from its original carton. This is to cover our cost to fully test and inspect your telescope and refurbish it to new condition, if possible. You must return the telescope in new condition with all of the parts and accessories intact and undamaged to qualify for a refund. The restocking fee can be waived for exchanges. We can not extend the refund period beyond 30 days under any circumstances, except that purchases made between November 1st and December 4th may be returned up through January 10.
Unfortunately, we can not accept returns of software or DVDs once they have been opened.
You must obtain a Returns Authorization before sending your product back. Return Authorizations are issued by e-mail only, so please write to us at returns@protelescope.com for returns issues. We generally do not pay for return shipping unless we made an error in your initial order. Overnight and other paid shipping charges are non-refundable. Please allow 7-10 business days from return of your package for us to issue your refund.
Damaged or Defective Items
We provide plenty of packing material to ensure that your telescope arrives to you in perfect condition. On rare occasions, however, accidents and mishandling may happen once it leaves our warehouse. If you should receive product that was damaged in shipping or you find that one of your products is defective, please keep all of the original packaging materials and contact us immediately at support@protelescope.com or by phone at (855)-776-7267. It is helpful if you can send digital photos of any damage to the carton or telescope. Unfortunately, we can't accept transit damage claims more than 5 days after your telescope is delivered or if you have discarded the original packaging materials.
