A Fantastic Computer Controlled Refractor Telescope. This telescope is ideal for backyard astronomy enthusiasts or children with space on the brain. This telescope features one of the easiest to use alignment systems on the market which means it's great for the whole family as a group or individually. With a large 80mm primary lens and a 900mm focal length, this is a great all around telescope. This telescope is ideal for backyard astronomy and is a great introductory telescope if you are serious about learning all about astronomy but want to avoid the hassle of combing the night sky for something cool to see. With its easy of use and high level of functionality, you can observe all the popular sights in the night sky. Of course, with this telescope, you can see outstanding detail when viewing the moon and you can see the Rings of Saturn and the Moons of Jupiter. Did we mention that all you have to do to see a new object is push a button?
Easy-to-Use Motorized Mount. The outstanding design of the of the computer controlled mount means this telescope is not only easy to use but it's accurate as well. The single arm mounting style and dual motors provide smooth tracking unlike many inexpensive motor drives that can distort the object you are observing. In addition, there are no "dead spots" -- so you can point your telescope anywhere above the horizon, whereas, many other mounts block the telescope tube at certain points of rotation. The motor is controlled by the built-in star finding computer.
Automatic Computer Controlled Star Finding. The NexStar computerized control system is by far the easiest to use automated tracking system available on the market today. With a database of 4,000 celestial objects, including all of the most famous galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, not to mention the planets, you'll be able to enjoy star gazing with the simple push of a button. Setting up this telescope is so easy it will amaze you. After entering in the date, time and your location, you simply point the telescope at three bright objects in the night sky and you will be ready to let the telescope take over. When we say any three bright objects in the night sky that means you look up and pick them. You don't need to know the any information about the objects. After the telescope is set up. Star gazing is a breeze. Just select the object you want to see on the include hand controller and the telescope will automatically point to that object and begin tracking it. Then all you need to do is look through the eyepiece.
Premium Optics and Equipment. This telescope comes with 2 Celestron eyepieces so that you will have a range of magnifications available. These eyepieces are perfect for getting started on your space and planetary excursions. The telescope comes equipped with a Celestron StarPointer finderscope for accurate alignment and object location. The aluminum tripod is lightweight yet sturdy enough to support and keep your telescope stabilized during observations. The tripod is fully adjustable and allows even taller people to observe the stars without having to crouch down in an uncomfortable position. A handy accessory tray on the tripod makes it easy to keep track of extra eyepieces.
