A Fantastic Computer Controlled Refractor Telescope. This telescope is ideal for backyard astronomy enthusiasts or older children with space on the brain. Simply align the telescope with the North Star, choose the object you want to see on the handheld controller and the computerized mount does the rest. This telescope is ideal for backyard astronomy, observing nature, and taking in cityscapes. It's a great introductory telescope if you are serious about learning all about astronomy but want to avoid the hassle of combing the night sky for something cool to see. In dark skies you can observe fabulous nebulae, galaxies, binary star systems, and most of the famed deep-space Messier objects with this telescope's tremendous light-gathering power. Of course, you can also see outstanding detail when viewing the Moon and you are able to observe the rings of Saturn and the moons of Jupiter. Did we mention that all you have to do to see a new object is push a button?
Fantastic Space Views. The fully coated achromatic 80mm primary objective lens, is maintenance free and ready to use right out of the box. With a short 400mm focal length, this little bundle of power packs a super-fast F/5.0, which means it is the perfect light-gathering instrument for wide-field and deep space astronomy. With this kind of light-gathering power, you also will get great views of birds or animals in darker shaded areas, and you will see clear, bright images of anything through either of the two powerful Kellner eyepieces. Of course, for the backyard astronomer, this telescope is ideal and is a great introductory telescope if you are serious about your new hobby. With its tremendous light-gathering power, in dark skies you can observe fabulous nebulae, galaxies, binary star systems and most of the famed deep-space Messier objects.
Advanced Motorized Mount. The patented design of the iOptron SmartStar-E Alt-Azimuth Mount, a.k.a. The Cube, is probably the most functional and flexible unit on the market. Both axis motors are built into a small single unit. In addition, there are no "dead spots" -- so you can point your telescope anywhere above the horizon, whereas other mounts block the telescope tube at certain points of rotation. This mount also comes standard with AC connection. An optional DC adapter is available so you can plug your telescope motor into your car if you're camping or at any remote location. The mount also accepts 8 AA cell batteries for use at home or in the field (batteries sold separately).
Automatic Computer Controlled Star Finding. The revolutionary GoToNova computerized control system is by far the most technologically advanced automated tracking system available on the market today. With a database of 3,500 celestial objects, including all of the most famous galaxies, nebulae, star clusters, and planets, you'll be able to enjoy star gazing with the simple push of a button. The GoToNova Controller is much easier to use than other similar products. The hand controller is more intuitive with menu categories better organized. It also has a larger LCD screen with more lines of content compared with the competition. With easy-to-use hand controller and its large LCD screen, you can easily set up your telescope and select where you want to go.
Premium Optics and Equipment. This telescope comes with 2 Kellner eyepieces with storage containers. These eyepieces are perfect for getting started on your deep-space and planetary excursions. Your telescope also comes with a dust-free cleaning cloth and a moon filter designed for reducing moon glare and making surface details more clear. The steel tripod is fully adjustable and allows even taller people to observe the stars without having to crouch down in an uncomfortable position. A handy accessory tray on the tripod makes it easy to keep track of extra eyepieces. Made of 1-inch heavy-duty stainless steel the tripod is sturdy yet elegant, and gives the user unparalleled stability during operation. Solid construction joints keep your mount locked securely.

Nice Scope for a Beginner Review by Fred Mission
Seeing and learning about the stars doesn’t have to leave you baffled. The AstroVenture 80mm Computer Controlled Refractor Telescope gives you a clear view of the skies, and is perfect for those just starting out.
All the controls are easy to use and find, and the quality of the view gives you the chance to see the moon’s craters and Saturn’s rings clearly.
One of the best things about the telescope is that it requires little maintenance. As soon as you pull it out of the box, you can use it. It’s also light enough to carry around to different rooms to see all there is in space. It’s also travel-friendly for those who love camping and star-gazing. The DC adapter allows it to be plugged straight into the car lighter or you can use AA batteries for full freedom.
Due to the location of the Cube, the view from the telescope is never blocked. This is something not all other telescopes can promise. All the controls are within the same block, too, making it easy for younger beginners to get used to it.
The moon glare can sometimes be a problem, but won’t be with the AstroVenture telescope. A moon filter comes as standard to help cut down on the glare.
When you’re looking for a start to your serious hobby, the AstroVenture 80mm Computer Controlled Refractor Telescope is definitely worth adding to your wish list.
