A Beginner Telescope Like No Other. This simple to assemble and easy to use refractor telescope will amaze and astonish you with outstanding views of the Moon, Saturn's rings and plenty of deep-space objects such as the Beehive Star Cluster, the Orion Nebulae, and binary star systems. With its 60mm objective lens and a long 700mm focal length, this telescope can achieve magnifications of 35x, 56x, and 175x using the three included eyepieces. Also included is a full-sized aluminum tripod with an altazimuth mount, making it simple for you to "point and shoot" within 5 minutes of opening the box. The built-in compass will help you point the telescope in just the right direction to find all the best objects in the night sky. The telescope is also super portable thanks to the included hard plastic carrying case. The case perfectly holds the telescope, the tripod, and all the accessories. In addition to nighttime use, this telescope is fantastic for bird watching or mountain gazing, and is perfect for high-rise apartment dwellers who want to scan the city during the day.

Additional Eyepieces Included. This telescope comes with 2 medium power eyepieces and 1 high power eyepiece, each with sturdy storage containers. These eyepieces are perfect for getting started on your deep-space and planetary excursions. Images are seen right side up in this refractor, so this telescope is ready-to-use for daytime earth-bound observing, as well. Your telescope also includes a handy starfinder scope to help you aim this powerful instrument at the correct starfield.

Redshift 7 is a wonderful planetarium software program that helps you plan out your evenings with the stars, simulates star tours, and allows you to explore a 3-D model of the universe. A beginner's package wouldn't be complete with out the Lunar 100 Card, your guide to the Moon's surface, and the Night Sky Planisphere Star Chart, which shows you which stars you can expect to see on any given night. Your telescope also comes with a dust-free cleaning cloth, a poster of the solar system, a large map of the Moon, and a  a built-compass so you will always know what direction you're looking.

Full Sized Tripod. Plus, a full-sized aluminum tripod is included. The tripod is fully adjustable and allows even taller people to observe the stars without having to crouch down in an uncomfortable position. Yet, the tripod is ultra light weight, making it easy for kids to handle. The altazimuth mount is our easiest to use. Not only can the telescope be assembled and disassembled in minutes, but you can quickly and smoothly scan the skies (or the Earth) for the objects you are looking for.
