An Incredibly Balanced Day & Night Telescope. Here's the gift that will knock 'em over. Our large 90mm refractor telescope is a great first-telescope for the backyard stargazer who is ready to learn it all. If you're looking for a versatile telescope designed for both night-time space viewing and long distance daytime viewing, this 90mm telescope is the ideal instrument. Its large 90mm aperture, fully coated achromatic primary lens affords crystal clear space views at night, with 160 times the light gathering power of the naked eye. With a 1000mm focal length, combined with 3 included eyepieces and a 2x barlow lens, you'll enjoy a range of magnifications from 50x to 500x.
Enjoy Everything in Space. With this telescope, your eyes will pop when you look at the Moon -- the detail of the surface is incredible. You'll enjoy viewing the rings of Saturn and moons of Jupiter. In dark skies you can see distant nebulae and galaxies. Plus, with a 45 degree angle prism included, you can use the scope during the daytime for right-side-up viewing of the most distant earth-bound objects.
Full Size Tripod With Equatorial Mount Included. This telescope comes with an aluminum tripod that is fully adjustable. Even if you're taller, you'll be able to observe the stars without having to crouch down in an uncomfortable position. A handy accessory tray on the tripod makes it easy to keep track of extra eyepieces. The equatorial mounting is desiged to allow the telescope to move in any direction -- and with the optional RA (Right Ascension) Motor Drive, you can automatically track the stars as they move accros the night sky. Use the declination circle, hour circle and latitude scale in conjunction to quickly locate any celestial body. Thanks to precision worm gears and a substantial counter weight, the telescope can be balanced so that the slightest finger touch turn of the flexi cables will move the telescope in any direction with a smooth, steady motion.
Direct-to-PC Camera. All of our USB cameras connect easily to your computer so uploading, sharing, and printing your photos is a breeze. Choose between a 1.3, 3.0, 5.0, or 9.0 megapixel camera based on what you plan on doing with it. The 1.3 MP camera is great for sharing online, taking live video feeds, and other digital formats. The higher MP cameras work great for digital formats and will also give you high-resolution images perfect for making large, gorgeous prints. Each digital telescope camera comes with a comprehensive digital telescopy software editing suite. Compatible with Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 and Mac OSX, the software outputs files in nearly every graphics format imaginable, including web standard JPEG, GIF, and even PhotoShop .psd files. The software allows you to measure angles, add graphics and text, and do color corrections and contrast adjustments right on your PC screen. The camera also comes with a 1 year warranty, and the camera software comes with unlimited lifetime upgrades and support directly from the manufacturer.
A Favorite for Dads & Grads. TThis telescope is a great gift for grads, dads, or anyone with an interest in space and astronomy. This scope is serious enough to give anyone a real "pros" view of the stars, but without breaking the bank. And, since its a refractor telescope, it is a zero maintenance instrument . . . you'll only need to keep the lens clean to keep it performing in tip-top shape.

Manually Controlled Telescope Tricky to Use Review by Zack Gremlong
I didn't realize what I was getting into with this telescope. I'm only partially happy with it. It does what it is designed to do, but it is really a challenge to use. It feels kind of like baking a complicated cake -- if you don't know what you're doing, getting the final product done is going to be hard.
The directions that come with the telescope are really terrible. The company provides an online assembly guide which is good for getting the telescope set-up, but beyond that there's nothing. Needed a trip to the library and watching a bunch of youtube to figure out what to do with the scope. Same goes with the camera, not great instructions, but it does work pretty good. Great package -- enjoying it. Review by Peach Ice Cream
This is going to be a learning process for me. But I'm happy with this giant 90mm AstroQuest telescope by Twinstar. The telescope is really large, so know what you're getting. The optics are good, we're getting really clear views of the moon, Saturn, Jupiter, we even made our own sun filter and saw some sun spots.
The camera is tricky to use and takes some practice. You need a laptop, no wifi. But we're starting to get the hang of it. It 's a fun hobby and we're going to enjoy having it. (Posted on 10/11/16)
